Cllr Chattaway Commentary

Photo Cllr ChattawayThe Community Protection Overview & Scrutiny Committee is committed to reducing crime and improving the safety of the community through the monitoring, reviewing and scrutinising of the services delivered by the County Council to the residents of Warwickshire. We encourage collaborative working with our partner agencies, especially the Police and criminal justice agencies and take a strategic approach to the issues raised within your own communities.

The future work of the committee will, in part, be informed by central government legislation, such as the Civil Contingencies Act and the Police Reform Bill and evaluating their impact in Warwickshire. The way in which we work with our partners in the community will continue to be a high priority in addition to the impact of drugs and alcohol on crime and the fear of crime levels within our County.
