Ask any member of staff at any of our libraries for a membership form.
You need to show an acceptable form of ID with your name and address on or photo ID;
- Utility Bill
- Postmarked envelope (inc. handwritten)
- Bank Statement
- WCC Staff Photo ID
- Rent agreement
- Photo driving licence
- Other official personal correspondence (not handwritten letters)
- Coventry Library Card
- Medical Card
Eligibilty
Full membership of Warwickshire libraries is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Warwickshire or lives in a neighbouring county and will do so for more than eight weeks from the date of joining.
If you are visiting the county for between eight days and eight weeks you can join as a temporary member.
Under 16s
Your parent, guardian or grandparent needs to sign the membership form and show two forms of ID or their library card. You become an adult member of the library when you are 16 years old.
Temporary and Universal Membership
Visitors to the County, staying between 8 days and 8 weeks can join as Temporary Members. No proof of local address is necessary but proof of name and signature is, (eg, bankcard, passport).
Universal Membership is a national scheme enabling library customers to borrow books from any local library service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. A library card from another authority within the UK can also be accepted in lieu of name and signature ID.

- if you are under 16, ask a parent or carer to be a guarantor, by completing the form for you.
