Welcome to Warwickshire County Council

Consultation Learning
Main Consultations

All departments undertake consultation with residents on their particular services but corporately we consult in the following ways:

Citizens' Panel
WCC run a Citizens' Panel which is made up of 1,000 residents which are representative of the county as a whole. We normally consult with panel members four times a year, either by a postal or telephone questionnaire. To view the results from all our Citizens' Panel surveys click here.

Mystery Shopping
We also monitor responses to customers by undertaking Mystery Shopping. This is where external mystery shoppers are given set scenarios and asked to contact WCC. They can then ring, visit, e-mail or write to us with these scenarios and monitor our responses to them. To view the results from our Mystery Shoppers click here

Place Survey
A new annual statutory suvey is to be carried out by all local authorities starting in Autumn 2008. This new 'Place Survey' will ask local people for their perceptions about the area in which they live. This survey focuses on improving outcomes for loal people and the place they live, rather than on individual organisations. It recognises that no single organisation can achieve success on the complex issues of improving public health, reducing povety, tackling crime or sustainable economic development. It also recognises the importance of capturing local people's views, experiences and perceptions as a way of determining whether interventions made in an area result in the right outcomes for local people. The results from this survey will be available for you to view in January 2009.
