The Overview and Scrutiny Co-ordinating Group is made up of 9 members - the chairs of all the overview and scrutiny committees and two Cabinet portfolio-holders. This group is chaired by Richard Grant.
Its main area of work is to liaise with the Overview and Scrutiny Committees over their respective work programmes, to ensure that there is efficient use of the committees' time, and that the potential for duplication of effort is minimised.

The Group has agreed a core work programme for 2008-09 which was supported by the full Council on 24 June 2008.
