Extended Services - Implementing the Vision |
Letter of Introduction from
Marion Davis
Strategic Director
Children, Young People and Families Directorate
"Extended Services are at the centre of the localised delivery of Every Child Matters and instrumental in providing access to services for our communities across Warwickshire. | |
| We know that children’s educational achievement is related to the five Every Child Matters outcomes and that schools have a significant contribution to make to enable children and young people achieve all five. Through providing access to Extended Services, schools and partner agencies can assist in improving pupil attainment, pupil self-confidence, motivation and improve attendance, reduce exclusion rates; better enable teachers to focus on teaching and learning and enhance children's and families’ access to services.
To support your school in developing access to Extended Services I am delighted to supply you with your Implementing the Vision pack which contains:
|
- Warwickshires Extended Services Strategy
- Funding Strategy and Guidance 07/08
- Core offer leaflets (new version)
- Extended Services guidance
- Extended Services team contact details
- School Pyramid cluster consultation (now closed)
| |
| We intend to further develop information for the pack and will publish contents via the Extended Services web site, details of which are included within the contact details section. I hope you find the pack useful and I know the Extended Services Team would welcome your feedback on both the cluster consultation as well as the pack and it’s contents. For any further information on any aspects contained within the pack please do contact the Extended Services Team.
Please do note however that the funding strategy, proposal form and consultation have deadline dates in relation to your responses." |
