Citizenship ceremonies were introduced by the government on 1st January 2004 and are conducted by Warwickshire’s Registration Service.
It is estimated that 110,000 people become British Citizens in the UK each year. Warwickshire Registration Service carries out Citizenship ceremonies for about 400 people a year.
Every applicant is required to swear or affirm an oath of allegiance to the Queen and make a pledge to uphold the values and laws of the United Kingdom.
Group ceremonies normally take place in Shire Hall, Warwick, every 2/3 weeks.
We are also able to offer individual ceremonies for an additional fee of £45.00, which may take place throughout Warwickshire in any one of our Register Offices.
For further information on any matters relating to Citizenship Ceremonies, please contact our Citizenship Coordinator on (01926) 738837 or alternatively you can e-mail us at registration@warwickshire.gov.uk
