Bursary Programme for Talented Young Warwickshire Athletes
County Athletes Programme - (CAP)
What is it?
The County Athletes Programme (CAP) is a new initiative which has been introduced to provide financial support to talented young sports people living within Warwickshire. As funding for this programme is provided through Warwickshire County Council, applicants must live within the County of Warwickshire.
This programme is however, intended as a first step towards a much broader county provision for talented athletes which we hope to develop across Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire in future years. It is already being organised in conjunction with the county sports partnership: Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (CSW) Sport who will be administering the programme on our behalf.
This awards programme is in addition to and is set to compliment other local bursarial awards currently available, such as the Talented Athletes Programme (TAP) available through Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust (NBLT). We would like to take this opportunity to thank colleagues from NBLT in assisting us in shaping the CAP awards structure to closely align with the TAP.
