School Grounds
School Grounds can provide quiet areas for students to sit and relax. They can also be used for recreation and to promote healthy lifestyles, as well as accomodating facilities such as cycle racks.
Other uses include growing plants and vegetables, and learning the importance of maintaining and increasing biodiversity.
The way school grounds are developed, used and managed can have a significant impact on pupils’ attitudes and behaviour, towards school, towards each other, and towards the wider environment and society
