---------------------------------------------------

The Youth Opportunity Fund is a pot of money given to us by the Government to pay for young people’s activities locally. This money is there for you to bid into for things you’d like to do but haven’t had the chance to. This may be things like residentials, DJ Workshops, arts projects, sporting opportunities, or community projects that benefit both you and other young people.

The fund is managed by a group of young people from your area, who will meet to consider and discuss your application and decide on how the fund will be given out. This group will be working to a set of criteria - pdf 40.76kb, to help them make those decisions, and you will need to follow these criteria when filling in the application.

There is more money you should know about when thinking of making an application.

This is the Youth Capital Fund, to be used on things like doing up buildings, buying mobile resources, youth shelters, etc. This fund is also managed by a group of young people.

The good news is you can apply for Youth Opportunity funding and Youth Capital funding for the same project!
