Fumes from exhausts pollute the atmosphere and are thought to contribute to asthma and other health conditions. Vehicles use energy and contribute to the production of greenhouse gases which in turn lead to global warming or climate change.
As the global temerature rises so ice and snow at the Poles melt and sea levels rise. Flooding is likely, washing away people's homes and livelihoods.
