People with Visual Impairment and Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Services for Deaf People - this is a countywide provision which offers a range of services to help meet the needs of deaf and hard of hearing adults and children, as well as their families and carers.
Adult, Health & Community Services (previously Social Services) also works in partnership with Warwickshire Association for the Blind. Here you wil find information on this service and contacts for other services provided for people with visual impairment and for people who are deafblind. |
Disability Teams
Please contact a Disability Team for further information and guidance. All telephone calls are first answered by a Customer Service Advisor who will help you with your query and pass relevant information to a Disability Team. |
Getting Help
Usually a social worker or occupational therapist will assess your needs and then discuss with you the best way to meet them. These pages will show you whether you are eligible for our services or need to contact us to be signposted to other organisations and services; and explain an assessment to you and the steps you need to take. |
Information for Carers
If you are caring for others, such as relatives, partners or friends, who are sick or have disabilities, we may be able to help you, or signpost you to organisations who will. |
Information about Care at Home
A social worker or occupational therapist will usually assess your needs. We will try to help you live at home as independently as possible through supported living services appropriate to your needs, signpost you to organisations who will. |
Equipment and Adaptations and Occupational Therapy
Information concerning equipment, or an adaptation to the home, to help you manage your day-to-day tasks more easily and/or more safely. |
Direct Payments
People who are eligible for a service from us may receive a direct payment and arrange their own service such as home care. |
