My dear Mr. Evans
I was really glad this morn to hear from Fred that he had accepted. I think he is the right man & hope & believe that he will be a blessing to this place. If I can do anything to smooth his way or help him after he is here you know I will. And now I must congratulate you & Mrs Evans very heartily upon having your son so near you - it must be a great pleasure to you all & I hope will be a very lasting one. I hope that he may never regret the change, & that he will be appreciated as much here as at Kidderminster. I started to call at Griff this morning, but my mare cast a shoe on the way & I was obliged to go back. Mrs. Howman is out or would add her congratulations to mine, which please to give also to Mrs Evans.
Yours very truly
Edward J. Howman | |
