| Warwickshire's Link With Shenzhen, China |
| has flourished since our initial contact in 2005. The collaboration and friendship was formalised in a Joint Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2006. With many of our schools successfully linked with schools in Shenzhen, numerous staff and student visits and exchanges, joint curriculum projects, the introduction of mandarin (supported by Chinese Language Assistants from Shenzhen in our schools) in some of our schools, - the link goes from strength to strength! |
We are proud of the progress made and fortunate to be linked with Shenzhen, which is referred to as the 'economic powerhouse of China' , being one of the first Economic Action Zones. Shenzhen was a small fishing village 25 years ago and now has a population of nearly 10 million, with the highest concentration of graduates in China.
