| Since 2002, it has been obligatory for members to declare that they will be guided by the National Code of Conduct for members of Local Authorities. The Audit and Standards Committee is concerned with making sure that county councillors, non-elected members and officers of the council follow high standards of conduct in the way they conduct the business of the council. Each year the Committee will produce a report highlighting the work it has undertaken, and any new developments or changes to the codes of conduct.
