 | Warwickshire has done brilliantly well within the 'Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards 2006' by picking up six of the prestigious honors
Known throughout the industry as the ‘Tourism Oscars, the awards reward and promote quality within the tourism industry and promote healthy competition, helping to ensure that the Heart of England region, including Warwickshire, continues to grow as a world-class visitor destination. |

Ardencote Manor Hotel and Spa has continued to invest and improve the business over the last year, from a complete refurbishment of the Lodge Restaurant to the creation of a purpose built Dance and Fitness Studio. Access is high on the agenda for Ardencote which has made significant changes to ensure they meet the needs of all visitors across the whole operation. |

Travel de Courcey was founded in 1974 and has now become one of the leading bus and coach companies in Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. They have a fleet of around 70 vehicles and employ over 130 staff helping transport 4 million passengers each year. |
 | They have really embraced the needs of those with disabilities, working closely with one of their ex-drivers, now a wheelchair user himself, their customers, and the coach manufacturers. Business Tourism, Gold Award winner
High quality accommodation is available at Woodside across 70 en-suite rooms featuring a dedicated working area and hand-made beds. A team of award winning chefs prepare superb food for the guests, and the kitchen is accredited by the Vegetarian Society. On-site leisure facilities are available for guests to relax and unwind including, a swimming pool, gym, golf and sauna. The judges were also impressed by the professional and innovative approach taken by Woodside to marketing their product domestically and overseas. |

Tourist Information Centre, Gold Award winner
Opened in March 2005, Rugby Visitor Centre is a purpose built operation located in the foyer of the Rugby Art Gallery, Museum and Library. The accessible design, clear layout and innovative use of technology to provide out of hours information and methods of counting footfall impressed the judges. |
 | There is an exceptional level of customer care at Rugby, and a clear commitment to ensuring continued staff development. The staff are at the heart of the town in every sense, from showcasing local artisans to promoting the many events, large and small, which take place in and around Rugby. |

Tourism Website of the Year, Gold Award winner
visitcoventry.co.uk has three clearly branded areas for leisure visitors, conferences and travel trade, with the product information organised into seven distinct categories. The site has great functionality, is easy to navigate, and has a clean visual design. Online booking, and the ability for remote access by businesses to adapt, update and edit their information, is really helping support further promotion of the destination. It is also a very accessible site often exceeding industry standards and including, for example, the availability of downloadable tactile maps of the City Centre.
