Coleshill is a small market town situated just outside the outer east fringes of Birmingham. Lying on two rivers and surrounded by countryside, it retains its original character in a steep main street featuring splendid Georgian architecture. An important staging post on the ancient Roman trading route of London to Chester, the town still has many historic coaching inns dotted throughout.

Places of interest
The soaring tower and spire of Coleshill’s Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul is a well known local landmark, and is in the beautiful decorated style of the 14th and 15th centuries. A large 12th century carved Norman font can be seen inside.
On Church Hill you can still see the town stocks which are unique to Warwickshire as they also combine a pillory and whipping post. They now stand outside the recently refurbished Old Market Hall which houses an exhibition of Coleshill past and present.
Places to visit in and around Coleshill include Ash End House Children's Farm and Broomey Croft Children's Farm to the north - both working farms where visitors can meet and feed the animals.
There is also Middleton Hall and Shustoke Reservoir, the famous Forest of Arden golf course and Hoar Park, a collection of traditional 17th century farm buildings converted to a craft and antique centre is to the east.
