The Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) require, annually, the submission of Public Library Position Statement.
The statements cover how Warwickshire Library & Information Service is responding to the three key themes identified in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport's strategic framework for the public library service.
Framework for the Future:
- the promotion of reading and informal learning
- access to digital skills and services, including e-government
- measures to tackle social exclusion, build community identity and develop citizenship.
The statement also identifies the progress Warwickshire Library & Information Service is making in meeting the Public Library Statement.
