Warwickshire Governors' Association and Forum
The Warwickshire Governors’ Association and Forum operates at two levels
–
Patch and County Forum
.
Together the Association and the Forum provide an arena within which the partnership of governors, elected members and education professionals is developed and promoted, and where issues of common interest and concern are discussed and resolved.
Each governing body is invited to nominate two governors - known as Patch Representatives - to attend local Patch Meetings and County Forum Meetings.
Meetings at both patch and county level take place once a term.

Patch Meetings
Patch Meetings provide the opportunity to network with governors from nearby schools, find out about new developments and raise issues of concern.
The meetings are chaired by governors. Area Schools and Communities Officers are also at the meetings to brief governors and provide feedback to the LA.
Patch Representatives are encouraged to put forward agenda items and topics for future meetings.
County Meetings
County Forum Meetings bring together Patch Representatives, County Councillors and Senior Local Authority Officers to discuss issues raised at patch meetings and current policy matters.
The meetings are held on a Saturday morning in the autumn and spring terms and a weekday evening during the summer term.
Governors' Forum Steering Group
The work of the Warwickshire Governors' Forum is overseen by a Steering Group. The governor members of this Group act on behalf of the Forum in responding to consultations on behalf of governors and developing the strategic role of governors.
Governor members of the Steering Group are also invited to serve on a range of Local Authority policy and working groups including the Schools Forum.
