Latest News - Bus Station could be completed Early
Work on Warwick's Bus Station is now underway and is designed to:
Reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in the town centre
Remove buses from Brook Street & Market Place in the town centre
Reduce bus journey times and improve reliability
Offer a more attractive bus service as an alternative to the car
Provide a more comfortable environment for passengers
Provide improved crossing routes for pedestrians
The Warwick Bus Station will be a high quality facility with features including:
Increased number of bus bays from 4 to 5 to allow for possible future growth in bus provision
A high quality Main Waiting Room to provide an attractive and comfortable waiting environment and improved bus information for passengers
The integration of the 3 existing bus shelters into the new Bus Station
Attractive landscaping to enhance appearance
Complementary street lighting to enhance safety and comfort
This will help make the town centre a more pleasant place to shop and visit, by improving the visual environment, and reducing congestion and air pollution.
