Warwickshire's Geology
Chirotherium footprint
The rocks, minerals and fossils beneath Warwickshire's towns, villages and fields tell a fascinating story of environmental and climate change on huge scales. Volcanoes, ancient seas, deserts, dinosaurs and mammoths have come and gone, over the last 600 million years.

Today, the Warwickshire Museum preserves the evidence for this story amongst its geological collections.
