Caring for others? |
Are You a Carer?
Carers provide unpaid care by looking after an ill, frail or disabled family member, partner or friend. There are services and benefits available to support them but not all Carers know about these.
For more advice and information on the financial support you could be entitled to pick up a copy of the Carers Rights leaflet (PDF - 258 KB) or visit www.warwickshire.gov.uk/carers.

Why libraries are recession friendly |
Did You Know?
Warwickshire libraries cost each local council tax payer just 6p a day.
- That’s a fraction of the cost of one national newspaper.
- There are more than a million books to choose from.
- You can borrow up to ten at any one time for free.
- That’s well over £100-worth of books to read without spending a penny.
The Greener Option
Libraries have been recycling since the 1850s. They:
- Reduce unnecessary use of natural resources and help people save money.
- Reuse books, CDs and DVDs by lending them out over and over again.
- Recycle by loaning their stock out repeatedly throughout the community - and books are sold off or literally recycled at the end of their library life.
