 | Towns of Warwickshire - Atherstone |
 | Atherstone lies on the old Roman Road, Watling Street, which runs through the centre of the town. What was a felt hat producing town is now a bustling small market town with many attractive old buildings.
The town is developing as a book town similar to Hay on Wye, and will feature several different book shops specialising in many different areas.
