New road and bridge schemes to alleviate congestion and improve the infrastructure and the general environment within Warwickshire are funded by the County Council with grants from the Department of Transport. Contributions from developers also fund road improvements to cater for increases in capacity and road safety on the County road network. It is also necessary at times to replace structures which carry the network of roads through the County. |
The design and construction of such schemes is the responsibility of the Design Services Group.
This group also manages the Maintenance of the County's bridge stock. Maintenance of the existing County road network is carried out by County Highways. |
Contractors asked to submit prices for a particular scheme are chosen from our Select List of Contractors.
