Launched in July 2003 Building Sustainable Neighbourhoods (BSN) is a community regeneration initiative, that works with community groups in the disadvantaged communities of Nuneaton & Bedworth to support them achieve their aspirations.
It's core aims are around: Encouraging community participation in regeneration Providing employment and training opportunities Promoting community and social enterprise Improving the use of under utilised community facilities Improving environmental dereliction Creating sustainable communities
BSN is currently working along two core themes The Environmental Action Team and Planning Ahead . The programme is jointly funded by Warwickshire County Council, Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund. Managed by Warwickshire County Council, BSN is a partnership project and has worked with over 50 different groups in the area to deliver increased opportunities and improved quality of life for people living within Nuneaton & Bedworth.
