County Council Applications
Warwickshire County Council is the Mineral and Waste Authority for the County. The Development Group fulfils the Council’s statutory duty to deal with planning applications involving mineral extraction (sand, gravel, clay, hard rock, coal, limestone and ironstone) and the depositing, recycling and management of waste.

These planning applications are administered by the Development Group. The more contentious or complex decisions to grant or refuse are made by members of the Regulatory Committee
The Development Group is responsible for determining planning applications for the County Council's own development relating to its own services, such as schools, care homes, fire stations and road building proposals.

These planning applications are administered by the Development Group. The more contentious or complex decisions to grant or refuse are made by members of the Regulatory Committee

Please note that Warwickshire County Council is not the Planning Authority for other types of planning applications such as housing, industrial or commercial developments. For information on such applications, please contact the District or Borough Council direct. See Related Services.
