Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Board has updated an Information Booklet for parents and carers.
The booklet gives advice on how children can be kept safe when online and gives useful links and contacts
Chris Hallett is the Chair of WSCB:
"We are often asked by parents, and professionals wishing to give good advice to parents, how they can help children and young people to use the internet safely. This booklet is WSCB's response to these requests."
The booklet describes the many benefits of the internet for children. Its an incredible source of information and entertainment, and a great way for them to keep in touch.
Continues Chris: "Unfortunately, nothing in life is 100% safe all the time and the internet is no different. We need to take sensible precautions to protect our families from individuals who misuse technology to harm children."
The booklet says that the most important thing is for parents and carers to talk to their children about how they use the internet and gives TOP TIPS FOR STAYING SAFE"
