Bus Stops and Shelters

Bus shelters and bus stop poles in Warwickshire are generally the responsibility of either the operator or the parish, town, borough or district council in the area where the shelter or stop is located. The County Council is responsible for certain bus shelters situated on Quality Bus Corridors. If you are unsure about the responsibility for any bus stop or shelter contact the Publicity Team on 01926 412987 or email passengertransport@warwickshire.gov.uk.

Roadside publicity or bus timetable information at shelters or bus stops is mostly provided by the bus operator. Impartial information regardless of operator is also provided by the County Council.

The County Council now maintains a number of timetable cases in Warwickshire in mainly rural locations and a smaller number of timetable information display cases in bus shelters mainly in urban areas. Any problems with either a timetable case or a shelter information display case, can be reported to the Transport Operations Publicity Team by telephoning 01926 412987 or email passengertransport@warwickshire.gov.uk. We will arrange for it to be dealt with, either by the County Council if its owned by us, or the operator if it belongs to them.

Any new or replacement bus stop flag or plate is normally supplied by the bus operator although this can in some cases be provided by the County Council.
