Access to Maybird Centre & Regal Road Development
A3400 Birmingham Road, Stratford-Upon-Avon

Stratford on Avon District Council granted Capital Hill Partnership (GP) Limited planning permission for a new access to the Maybird Retail Centre off the A3400 Birmingham Road, Stratford-upon-Avon. A Planning Application has also been made for residential development on an adjoining site which will utilise the roundabout as a means of access. The scheme is wholly funded by Capital Hill Partnership (GP) Limited.

The works consisted of the construction of a new roundabout on the A3400 Birmingham Road to provide access in to the new Maybird Centre. The works also included the provision of a new Toucan crossing on the Birmingham Road and upgrading of the existing pedestrian crossing at the Tesco Island. The highway works involved a considerable number of underground service diversions, including electricity cables, water mains, sewers, gas mains and telecommunications apparatus.

The contract was completed by G McVeigh & Co Limited of Stratford upon Avon. Construction of the scheme was completed on the 27th July 2007.

Below is a plan showing the details of the proposed new signalised junction.
