The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004) abolished Structure Plans and Local Plans as of September 2004. However, the Act provided for these plans (listed below) to be saved until September 2007.
In addition the Act allowed for a case to be made to the Secretary of State to extend the period beyond that date for which any policies in the plan may be saved. Details of those which have been saved can be found using the links below.
The Warwickshire Structure Plan (1996-2011) provides a strategic steer for development throughout the county. It focuses development within the nine main towns of Warwickshire.
The Minerals Local Plan has been prepared by Warwickshire County Council to identify those areas of the county where significant mineral resources occur, that is, sand, gravel, hard rock and coal and where there would be least planning objection to possible workings.
The Waste Local Plan has been prepared by Warwickshire County Council in order to identify the most suitable areas for the processing and/or disposal of waste. | |
