Adoption Facts and Figures
We recruit families for children who cannot live with their birth families, and who require a stable, permanent home. We place the needs of children first in all decision making and actions. Consequently we prioritise the assessment of adoptive families according to the needs of children we have waiting for families, which means some families waiting longer than others to complete the assessment process.
Currently our greatest need is for families who can care for larger sibling groups, families from ethnic minority backgrounds, families who can deal with health uncertainties in their adoptive child, and families for older children.
