VALENTINES DAY FIRE SAFETY
Graeme Smith, Chief Fire Officer would like to warn Warwickshire residents when planning a romantic Valentines Day meal at home not to forget some simple fire safety advice. When cooking the meal ensure you do not get distracted (by the telephone or a knock at the door) and leave the kitchen without taking the pan off the heat. The kitchen is already an area where most accidents and fires occur in the home. Just a few moments could lead to fatal results for more than your meal. | ![]()
| Find out more about Kitchen Safety. Once the cooking is finished you want to enjoy the candlelit meal, but remember as well as candles creating a special atmosphere they also bring fire into the home. Find out more about Candle Fire Safety. | ||
