 | Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts distributing public money from government and the National Lottery. Support is aimed at arts organisations, touring arts groups, or non-arts organisations who want to bring the arts into their work.
Grants for organisations - from £200 to £100,000 available for arts organisations for projects lasting up to one year. This can include capital items, training, research commissions, residencies, arts activities, projects, events, marketing, education, audience development and improving long term stability.
Grants for Individuals - from £200 up to £30,000 to cover activities lasting up to 12 months. Larger grants may be awarded for major projects and residencies. The average grant to individuals in 2004/05 was £5,000.

 | Screen West Midlands provides support to help and develop the region's moving image industry and culture.
Access Fund grants - up to £15,000 for projects in screen media education, new talent or exhibition and audience development. Previous awards have been used to run after school media clubs, produce an audience development plan for a cinema and a film festival. The deadline for this fund has passed
Script Grants - up to £5,000 for individual writers or production teams to develop screenplays, with a further £2,000 towards script costs for sucessful applicants.
Advantage Development Fund - enables new and existing screen based media companies to undertake research in order to bring new products to the market. The 2006/07 scheme is closed but further opportunities will be advertised on their website. (This scheme is funded through Advantage West Midlands and not the national lottery)

The Film Council: funding for film production, supporting new production and development funds.
Youth Music: established to promote and develop music opportunities for young people up to and including 18 years of age. Current programmes are:
First Steps - creative music-making for children aged 0-5
Make It Sound – music-making for 5-18 year olds who otherwise lack the chance to take part
Vocalise! – for programmes where the voice is the main instrument
