Alternatives to Kerbside Collection

Green kerbside collection has been introduced to some households in Warwickshire by the local Councils as a way to encourage people to recycle their rubbish and increase the County's recycling rate.

However, there are other ways of disposing of your green garden waste and kitchen waste (which should not be included in the kerbside collection bins). Home composting is environmentally friendly and produces a free soil improver. However, some people are not green fingered but still want to dispose of their green waste in a responsible and convenient manner, such as the service provided by kerbside collection.

The other alternative is the green waste facility at Recycling Centres across the County except Judkins in Nuneaton. Please ensure that you do not put plastic bags in with the green waste. This waste is then composted at one of the County's centralised composting sites.
