| Little Green Bear Road Safety Club 3 to 5 years | ||
| Overview of the Club Parents, carers and pre-school practitioners are in a unique position to begin teaching children about basic road safety skills - even before they begin full-time education. At this early stage in their development, children see adults as role models, especially when they see them doing something different. The aim of the Little Green Bear Road Safety Club is to give parents, carers and pre-school practioners the opportunity, confidence and resources to begin talking about road safety whilst at the same time encouraging children to have fun while they are learning. All activities are linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile. By supporting the Club you will be playing an important role in helping us to reduce the number of children who are killed and seriously injured on Britain's roads. The Club is based around 6 core road safety elements:  Stop, Look and Listen. Copycat. Holding Hands. All about cars. Be bright be see. First bike.Parents The Little Green Bear Road Safety Club is open to all parents of children 3 - 5 years (Warwickshire postcodes only), and once signed up you will receive free road safety information, and activities for you to do with your children. The club is currently being launched through local nurseries and pre-school groups, but you can sign up idependently. |  |    |
| Childminders If you are a childminder and would like to sign up to the club, please apply giving the number of children in your care. Nurseries and Pre-school By becoming a Little Green Bear Nursery or Pre-school, you will receive the following free resources when you sign up. Teacher resource pack containing activities to help you introduce basic road safety concepts to children. Information/offers about current road safety initiatives. Advice from our Road Safety Advisers. Promotional materials to help you encourage parents to sign up to the Club. The Club is free, and once parents sign up, they receive a road safety file, information, themed advice and activities every month for 6 months. Little Green Bear Roadshow with songs, stories and puppets. | ||
