School Race Equality Awards
The School Race Equality Awards 2008 will be held on 22 September 2008 at All Saints' Parish Church, Leamington Spa. If you would like your school to enter you need to complete the Warwickshire School Race Equality Award Entry Form and send it to the Race, Equality & Diversity Officer (Schools), Education Partnerships & School Development, Children, Young People & Families Directorate, Saltisford Office Park, Ansell Way, Warwick, CV34 4UL.
These awards were introduced in 2003 to recognise the work Warwickshire schools have done in mainstreaming race equality. Each school has to provide evidence to a panel of judges illustrating how the school's Race Equality Policy has led to change - in the curriculum, ethos or community of the school. The panel of judges ususally include representatives from community organisations, the Chair of SACRE [ Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education], WCC Officers and Elected Members.
