| Community Groups across Warwickshire are involved in a variety of different projects to help tackle the impacts of climate change. To find out which groups are currently working in your area, click on the boroughs and districts below.

> Growing and Supporting Community Action on Climate Change - Session notes, 27th May 2010 , facilitated by Roger Matthews from Transition Stratford, looks in more detail at how we could grow community action on climate change and how the Save Warwickshire a Tonne campaign might be developed to foster community action. Five key themes emerged from the discussions.

- There is a new group - Fillongley Carbon Reduction Club, had a renewable energy showcase event on Saturday 1st may at the Village Hall. Their next event is about sustainable transport.

 For those of you considering community energy/renewables projects, this could be of interest. There is a section particularly aimed at community groups. http://ceo.decc.gov.uk/, described as: ‘This resource has been developed to support local authorities and community groups in their role as initiators, supporters and developers of local low carbon and renewable energy projects’.

The Greening Campaign
Hampshire-based scheme that encourages the community to motivate local residents to reduce their energy consumption and lower their personal and community carbon footprint.
Transition Towns Totnes
Totnes is the UK's first Transition Initiative, which aims to address the twin challenges of diminishing oil and gas supplies and climate change.
