Warwickshire Investment Partnership

Celebrating 10 years of investing in Warwickshire

Business executives from around the UK last night attended the tenth anniversary celebration of Warwickshire Investment Partnership.

The exclusive event, held at Warwick Castle, was hosted by the Partnership to recognise a decade of attracting commercial investment into Warwickshire.

Over the last ten years, the Partnership has worked with local and regional partners and property professionals to support 550 businesses to expand, relocate to, or move within Warwickshire.

These successful investments generated 8,200 new jobs for the county and safeguarded a further 4,300 jobs.

Of the 550 investments, more than half were in Warwick district and Nuneaton and Bedworth borough, which illustrates that businesses are looking county-wide for their ideal place to invest.

Cllr Chris Saint, Warwickshire County Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, said: “It’s been a productive ten years for the Warwickshire Investment Partnership and the county. Economic development across the UK has been a challenge for all areas over the last few years and the Partnership has been an effective player as Warwickshire has moved forward."

“Warwickshire remains a wealthy economy with a low unemployment rate, and it is on this premise that we can look forward to the next 10 years of success for the county.”
