| Daycare Services for Older People |
|
When we carry out an assessment of your needs we will consider with you whether your needs are best met in a day care setting - this may be because you are at risk of being socially isolated or because you have needs that require regular oversight by staff. For many people, day care (in a day service centre or residential home) is an important way of ensuring that the person can remain living in their own home. If we are arranging day care for you, there are a number of places we use, there are some services that are part of community organisations, but a number of residential homes also have day care units. Transport arrangements will be discussed with you.

If your assessment does not consider you to be in need of day care, but this is something that you would want for yourself, you could
- look in the Yellow Pages - particularly under 'Charitable and Voluntary Organisations' and 'Social Service and Welfare Organisations'
- ask at your local library or church
- contact the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI)
which will provide you with information on all registered care homes in Warwickshire, some of which provide day care.
