Area offices within Warwickshire will be setting their own criteria for grants which will include deadline dates and the amount of funding available. The grants are likely to focus on local and community led projects

 | Adult and Community Learning Service
Each of the Adult and Community Learning Area Offices can sub-contract awards to organisations who meet the criteria for providing quality assured learning programmes for those aged 19+ years. Grants can be used to provide learning opportunities in Essential Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and English for Speakers of Other Languages), Family Learning (which may include the participation of children)," First Steps" into learning, training or formal education (including ICT) or programmes that provide "leisure and pleasure" opportunities (also including ICT based provision). Participants, or the organising body, will be expected to contribute to the cost of the programme in some cases.

 | Race Equality Budget
The County Council has a small fund, which is intended to assist Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in simple one off simple projects which would not normally be considered within other funding areas of the Council. The fund particularly seeks to support and empower BME communities within Warwickshire. Only one application can be considered from any organisation.
Priority will be given to:
- projects that support the needs of new and emerging BME communities such as new ethnic groups settling in the County and/or asylum seekers, refugees, gypsies and travellers etc
- Support the needs of especially vulnerable BME groups such as women people with disabilities, isolataed communites, young and older people etc
- focus on researching the changing needs of BME communities or the needs of new and emerging communities
- making links between different communities to encourage community coheshion.
The upper limit on grant applications is £5,000. Funding will be allocated on the basis of the quality of bids across Warwickshire, rather than dividing the money between the districts. Heritage Collections
'Funding 4 Free' is designed to support heritage groups and museums, professional or voluntary, operating in Warwickshire and Coventry. Grants are generally below £1,000 and projects must begin and be completed within 6 months. The themes for 2007-08 were Collection Care and Managing Better. It is anticipated that the scheme will run again in 2008-09. The fund is managed by Stuff and (Non)sense, the Museum and Heritage Network of Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.  | Early Years Childcare
Warwickshire Early Years and Childcare Team have a number of grants available to private, voluntary and charitable providers of early years education and childcare in Warwickshire.
New Places grant to support nursery, playgroup, out of school club and pre-school start-up costs associated with new or additional childcare places in defined gap areas.
Sustainability grant for providers in defined strategic areas to support the costs of a plan to achieve a more sustainable position.
Child minder start up grant to support the initial costs of setting up as a child minder.

Youth Opportunity Fund
Government funding for young people's activities. Groups of young people can bid for funding to support new activities such as residentials, DJ workshops, arts projects, developing projects which benefit other young people etc. The fund is managed by a group of local young people who work to the following criteria - applications must be for projects involving young people from 13 -19; completed by young people; have a sponsor organisation; groups of vulnerable young people will be given additional weighting and projects must benefit groups / young people in Warwickshire.

 | Warwickshire Children's Fund
The fund received an allocation from the DfES of £2.7m for 2005 – 2008 and is aimed at 5 - 13 year olds at risk of social exclusion and their families. It works in partnership with communities, voluntary and statutory providers to overcome disadvantage and ensure children reach their full potential and improve their life chances through the development of preventative services and capacity building with providers around prevention and participation. Services are commissioned in line with the agreed priorities within the Children’s Fund Plan. Please note that all funds have been allocated through to March 2008. However the fund supports the Warwickshire Award for Involvement and offers training and support to providers in developing their participation and involvement of children, young people and families.

Warwickshire Rural Access to Services Partnership (WRASP)
The WRASP aims to improve rural accessibility to services both through improved transport and movement of people and the delivery of services at a local level. The partnership is lead by Warwickshire County Council, funded by Advantage West Midlands and includes a range of partners from across the county.
Two levels of funding are available:
- WASPS: Rural groups and businesses can apply for funding to improve access to employment and access to services. Smaller grants from £100 up to £5,000 are available for voluntary organisations, community groups, businesses or registered charities in Warwickshire. Applications are appraised on how well they help to achieve one or more of three access themes: People to services; Services to people; Improving information or better access to ICT services.
