Warwickshire County Council Grants

Warwickshire County Council helps administer a number of grant schemes designed to support voluntary organisations and community groups with community development related activities.



Local Community Funding

Area offices within Warwickshire will be setting their own criteria for grants which will include deadline dates and the amount of funding available. The grants are likely to focus on local and community led projects.

County Arts Service Grants

The County Arts Service offers advice and information on arts funding available in the region.


Early Years & Childcare

Warwickshire Early Years and Childcare Team have a number of grants available to private, voluntary and charitable providers of early years education and childcare in Warwickshire.
  • New Places grant to support nursery, playgroup, out of school club and pre-school start-up costs associated with new or additional childcare places in defined gap areas.
  • Sustainability grant for providers in defined strategic areas to support the costs of a plan to achieve a more sustainable position.
  • Child minder start up grant to support the initial costs of setting up as a child minder.

Race Equality Budget

The County Council has a small fund, which is intended to assist Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in one off projects which would not normally be considered within other funding areas of the Council. The fund particularly seeks to support and empower BME communities within Warwickshire. Only one application can be considered from any organisation.
Priority will be given to:
  • projects that support the needs of new and emerging BME communities such as new ethnic groups settling in the County and/or asylum seekers, refugees, gypsies and travellers.
  • supporting the needs of especially vulnerable BME groups such as women, people with disabilities, isolated communites, young and older people.
  • focusing on researching the changing needs of BME communities or the needs of new and emerging communities.
  • making links between different communities to encourage community coheshion.
The upper limit on grant applications is £5,000. Funding will be allocated on the basis of the quality of bids across Warwickshire, rather than dividing the money between the districts.

Youth Opportunity Fund

Groups of young people aged 13-19 can apply for funding to support new activities such as residentials, DJ workshops, arts projects and developing projects which benefit other young people.
