Air Quality & Transport
Warwickshire is made up of five Districts/Boroughs, who each act as the appropriate Air Quality Authority. As the Highway Authority, Warwickshire County Council is responsible for addressing transport related air quality issues in conjunction with the District/Borough Councils. The Highways Agency is responsible for addressing air quality issues on the motorway and trunk road network.
As part of the preparation of the 2005 Provisional and 2006 Final Local Transport Plan (LTP) submissions, the County Council worked with its partners to develop an Air Quality Strategy. The LTP Air Quality Strategy can accessed by clicking on the link below:
http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/ltpmain/section_12715353187.html
The information on this page sets out the work that has been undertaken since the submission of the Final LTP, and updates the position across the County in terms of Air Quality Management Areas (AQMA) and the preparation of Air Quality Action Plans (AQAP).
Further information about AQMA's and action to be taken for each of the Districts/Boroughs can be accessed by clicking on the relevant links below.
