Dear Mr. Stebbing,
Many thanks for the card for Mr. Phillpotts lecture. I could come to it of course if I were to be at Tunbridge Wells tomorrow but I am motoring up with some people from this place to London and we shall not arrive there until late.
I hope the partridge turned out all alright. They were shot by my nephew at his place in Cambridgeshire - Five Mile Bottom- famed for its birds, With kindest regards to you both.
