Tackling Inequality - Narrowing the Gaps

One of the three over-arching themes of the Warwickshire LAA is to ‘Narrow the Gaps’. By narrowing the gaps, we mean reduce differences across the County in terms of achievement, opportunity and quality of life.

The initial focus for developing work will be on measuring the gap, and the Warwickshire Observatory have undertaken a comprehensive piece of work to progress the gaps measurement at a district and sub district level (for example District Electoral Wards).

Detailed information on how far we have progressed can be seen in the update reports below, and through the regular Narrowing the Gaps Bulletins, which have a different focus area for each edition.

Bulletin 1: 16 - 18 year olds who are not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)
Bulletin 2: Percentage of people who feel they can influence decisions in their locality
Bulletin 3: Family Intervention Project
Bulletin 4: Older People
