The Planning Authority of Warwick District Council granted Warwickshire County Council in partnership with the District Council and All Saints Church planning permission for improvement works on the forecourt of All Saints Church, Leamington Spa.
The works consisted of repaving the main area to the west of the church. This included semi-circular ramps and steps plus the erection of railings, bollards, public art feature, the installation of seats, cycle stand and the planting of trees. Church Walk was also improved to match the rest of the work.
The works were completed by Fitzgerald Contractors Limited of Birmingham. Construction of the scheme was substantially completed in March 2008, including the street furniture and commissioning of the public art.
There was an official opening ceremony on the 19th March 2008, organised by Warwick District Council.
Below is a plan showing the details of the paving enhancement scheme to be carried out around All Saints Church.
