Live & Local is a network of over 100 voluntary groups from village halls, schools & community centres in Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire & Solihull who choose and promote professional shows for their local community with the support of a friendly, experienced office team.

Live & Local brings people and performers together for a really good time! The audiences are always commenting on the friendly atmosphere at shows, and how being close the action really adds to their enjoyment.
Local people are essential participants in the Live & local process and the results of successful arts promotions extend widely and contribute to personal growth and strong sustainable communities.
The original scheme was started by the County Council in 1986. It became an independent organisation in 1992 and incorporated as Live & Local in 1994. |
 | At the centre of this network of local voluntary organisations, connecting these mainly voluntary groups with some of the UK’s best professional performers, is a ‘not for profit’ organisation with a team of 5 workers, funded by local councils (including Warwickshire County Council) and The Arts Council, England. It is one of 40 similar schemes that support professional arts in hundreds of small community venues throughout the UK, playing an important part in the social life and development of their community. Live & Local currently has about 30 local ‘promoters’ in Warwickshire, ranging from the smallest village hall in the County to group of pupils in a secondary school. | |
 | Between them they choose and organise about 60 professional performances a year with the help of the Live & Local team.
Our autumn programme of about 30 performances across Warwickshire is just about completed.
