Each Childcare Support Centre is staffed by :
- Childcare Support Officers, responsible for running the centre, offering business support to registered childcarers in their District and providing guidance and support relating to Ofsted registration, inspection and good practice
- Administration Assistants
There is also a team of Early Years Advisory Teachers offering support in the areas of curriculum and assessment to practitioners in non-maintained settings who provide Early Years education to pre-school children. You can contact your area Advisory Teacher through your local District Centre (contact details below).
Common Aims
The aim of the Childcare Support Centre is to provide a quality support and development service for early years childcare providers within each Warwickshire District, including:
- Offering support, advice and information to those seeking to develop childcare provision
- Working in partnership with all agencies involved in the education and welfare of children.
- Housing a well equipped Resource Library available to Registered Childcare & Early Years education providers to support training and good practice.
- Providing a range of non-accredited training and signposting practitioners to other relevant accredited training where appropriate
- Helping to identify the barriers faced by Early Years and Childcare practitioners when developing a quality service and seeking to address them.
- Encouraging liaison with a range of quality providers who are able to provide working examples to encourage and enhance best practice
- Contributing to all relevant plans, working towards targets and providing information as and when required.
