GRS Roadstone move to new offices
As the Heartland Evening News reported:
One of the UK's leading building materials companies has opened a new national administration office in Nuneaton. GRS Roadstone moved into a 5,500 sq ft building at the Courtyard at Eliot Business Park from its previous base in Wolvey.
The unit, developed by Coventry-based Deeley Properties, is home to 40 staff who provide administrative support to the firm's three sales bases in the South East, East Midlands and West Midlands.
The company supplies materials, including sand, gravel and crushed stone, quarried from sites in England to a variety of construction industries and has a turnover in excess of £80 million.
In 1997 Martin Hill, Stephen Attwood and Jim Dickens, now board members, launched a successful management buy-out of the company which was operated by Galliford PLC for more than 30 years.
Richard Owen, financial director of GRS Roadstone, said the new unit was perfectly located and would allow the firm to expand. He said: "This new building is right next to the Midlands motorway network which is crucial to our business. We had outgrown our offices and this new base is tailored to our needs and will enable us to add another ten new staff in the coming months. We have a great team of staff which has enabled the company to enjoy strong growth in recent years and it was important for us to be able to retain those people." |
