Jobs created as Warwick firm plans training centre
As the Coventry Evening Telegraph reported:
More than 150 jobs could be created in the Warwickshire construction industry. Rok, which owns SOL Construction in Warwick, is planning to create 150 blue collar and 20 to 30 white collar positions over the next 18 months. It is also looking into the feasibility of setting up a training centre at its depot in Coventry Road, Warwick, which could create a further 120 apprentice-ships over four years in a range of trades including joinery and plastering. Keith Watson, Rok managing director for Central England, said the training centre would ideally be up and running by September.
Rok specialises in building, repairs and refurbishment, maintenance and development services and operates nationwide with more than 5,000 employees. It works for local authorities, schools, businesses and the leisure industry and currently employs 362 staff across the West Midlands, including around 250 at its site in Warwick.
