| Rising Bollards - Enforcement of the Pedestrian Zones in Nuneaton and Bedworth |
| | |
| The County Council has introduced automatic rising bollard systems to prevent unauthorised motor vehicle access to the pedestrian zones in Nuneaton and Bedworth. These will ensure the town centres are more pleasant and safer places to visit for everyone. The rising bollards are located at all entry and exit points and operate between the hours of 10am and 4pm every day. |
| | |
Please do not attempt to drive into the pedestrian zone during these hours: it is illegal and you risk damaging your vehicle. However access will be allowed for certain authorised vehicles, eg emergency services, maintenance vehicles. |
| | |
| What happens when the bollard system is operational? |
| At 10am there is a beeping sound 5 seconds prior to the bollard rising and at 4pm there is another beeping sound 5 seconds prior to the bollard lowering. Please ensure you stay clear of the bollard system when it is operating. |
