	A small group of local volunteers carried out a thorough review or 'Healthcheck' of all aspects of the town and surrounding rural area. As a result, a regeneration programme has been developed for Shipston and its surrounding villages. The Healthcheck is an essential exercise to approach a range of funding organisations, some of which are able to allocate substantial funds to support identified projects. The Stour Power Regeneration Committee comprises local residents and business people who are interested in the future of Shipston and the Stour Valley. It has been set up to have an input into the Healthcheck process and to deliver the Action Plan which addresses the issues raised by the Healthcheck.
