Driving Ambitions
Year 11 - Active Strategy to Reduce Accidents (ASTRA)

Four workshops duration up to 60 minutes
The workshops will enable the student to:

Appreciate their vulnerability in their first years of driving

Identify the common causes of road crashes

Appreciate the responsibilities of car ownership/driving and measures that should be taken to ensure safety

Apprieciate the consequences of inappropriate driving and understand the grief and suffering caused by road accidents

Recognise the consequences of driving under the influence of drink or drugs

Have an awareness of vehicle safety design and the different risks encountered on various road types

The importance of car maintenance and correct documentation

Be aware of external influences on driving
